Water distiller is a lab equipment which used to get distilled water from natural water. Different purification methods are used according to purity of feed water. Distilled water and deionized (DI) water have been the most common forms of purified water. Further water can also be purified by other processes including Reverse osmosis, carbon filtration, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, ultraviolet oxidation, or electrodialysis. In addition to that we can collect distilled water using following conventional method. But I'm taking here a purification technology which is more succeeded than this older method.
Water distillation modern technology.
The modern technology can be summarize as fallows but it may be vary with respect to the equipment manufacture. Initially tap water pass through the pretreatment stage to remove particle and free chlorine from the water. Further it will helps to prevent mineral scaling in hard water areas. Then water is pressurized using a pump and purified by reverse osmosis (RO). Finally it pass through the electrodeionisation module to reduce the levels of organic and mineral contaminants.
1. Inlet solenoid valve 2. Progard pretreatment pack
3. Pressure regulator
4. Booster pump
5. Decontamination port with built in conductivity cell
6. First reverse osmosis cartridge
7. Second reverse osmosis cartridge
8. RO reject solenoid valve
9. Pressure sensor .
10. RO reject recirculation controller
11. Conductivity cell
12. Rinsing valve
13. E.D.I. module 14. Resistivity cell
15. UV Lamp
Theory of operation
Modern technology involved electromechanics and latest inventions for water distillation.
pretreatment stage - most of them used micro filter and active carbon to remove particles from water
Carbon_filtering
Reverse Osmosis(RO) - water purification method using semi-permeable membrane. This method can remove many types of molucules and iron from water.

PM check list
- Replace filter at the end of life time.
- Check the life time of pre treatment, RO, UV lamp. If lifespan expired replace with new one.
- Run flush cycle periodically according to manufacture instruction.
- Use chlorine tablet to clean.
